Q: I’m trying to sign up my player for soccer but I’m not sure if it is working right?  Can you help?
 
A: 
 
1)       CREATE AN ACCOUNT (TOP OF WEBPAGE TO THE RIGHT)
2)       Once you have an account, go to the registration page and pick his/her age group in Programs…even if your player is playing up or requesting to play up, you must pick the age group they are supposed to be in due to birth date. Registrar will manually move the player to the appropriate team.
 
Please do not falsify the birth date; this could carry a penalty of a minimum 1 year suspension for the player.
 
3)       Once you choose the correct option, click check out
4)       It will ask you to assign a player (it's in between  the program and the price)...click the button to assign a person
a.       if your player isn't listed choose "add a new person"
b.       Once you complete her information it will allow you to assign her. 
 
5)       Once that is done, click on Continue with Registration. 
6)       You will go through a few screens and answers questions and finally come to a confirmation page.
 
If you're not sure if it worked you can go to "My Account" and look at your orders.  It will tell you if it was successful.
 
What do I do if I want to have my player play-up a level?
 

Consideration for playing up will be given to players who will be moving up to the requested age group in the fall of 2009. Please go to the registration subpage on Playing Up Procedures.

 

If the player had already been moved up to the next age level during the Fall of 2008, they are already approved for playing up in the Spring of 2009.  You must still register your player in the age group that they are supposed to be in and the registrar will manually move them into the approved age group.

Frequently Asked Questions 

When does the recreational season start?
The Fall season begins in August. It runs a 10 week season ending in November. The Spring season begins in March.  It runs an 8 week season ending sometime in May.

Where are the games played?
Games are played at Hoover Fields unless your player is on a U8 or older team.   These teams travel to other local clubs and games will be played at home and additional locations such Melbourne Beach, Indian Harbour Beach, Satellite Beach, etc.

When will I hear from my coach?
You should hear from your coach usually around 2- 3 weeks before start of each season. If you have not heard from a coach 2 weeks prior to the season, please contact the age coordinator or send an email to the registrar at kolivas@bellsouth.net .

When will the team practice?
Generally, the recreational teams are assigned practice times anytime throughout the week.  This is based on the coach’s request and the club’s space.  Typically U6 practice one day a week.  U8 and older could practice 2-3 days a week.  Again all is subject to availability/assignment by the club. 

When will the games be played?
Games are played on Saturdays, with an occasional Sunday afternoon game.

How old does my child have to be to play?
Per FYSA rules for Fall Soccer, players must be 4 years old on or before August 1st. For Spring Soccer, players must be 4 years old on or before March 1st.

When will we know the game schedule?
Schedules will be released by early August.   U15 and older start their first games for Fall around mid August.  All younger age groups will start the following Saturday.  The Spring schedules are usually out in March before the season starts.

When will we receive our uniform?
The coach will hand out the uniforms before weekend of the first game. Uniforms are included in the registration fee and consist of a jersey, shorts, and socks. You are responsible for your child’s shin guards. FYSA regulations state that the player must wear their shin guards inside the sock.

How will my child be placed on a team?
All teams are formed late July for the Fall Season, and February for the Spring Season, by a blind draw based on age and experience. The only players guaranteed to play together are those of the coach, assistant coach. Personal preferences and request may not always be granted.  The object of team formation is to have parity. This will be considered above all requests.
